Below: Pirate Special and Mexican LowriderThis is the Motorized Recumbent Chopper flying its colors. The Mexican Lowrider and the Pirate Special will make their own parade at Abita Springs.
Left: Moto BikeE. Ron Buffem owns this bike. It uses a Ryobi 26cc 4-stroke WeedEater motor with some Carr Precision parts and the rest of the parts are fabricated and finished by Ron. It has a thumb throttle like a 4 wheeler and the bar under the seat is the clutch lever it also has a hard black plastic drive wheel that rubs on the tire. It also uses screen door closers to provide tension on the drive wheel to rub on the tire. Ron also has another bike that has not been photographed yet it is a Murray mens Santa Fe Cruiser with the same engine, throttle, and drive wheel but it has a clutch lever on the handlebars like a motorcycle. Ron and I plan to go to Abita Springs together in June.

Below: Photos of Mike's bike. It has no clutch and the motor is a 24 cc WeedEater motor. The muffler has been gutted and it makes a lot of noise, goes fast too! Hopefully
Mike will go to Abita Springs with us, or at least let me bring his bike.Total cost of this bike was about $20 for the throttle cable. Everything else was junk that we salvaged.
Above: Ryobi 280 R 31 cc Blower straight out of the box. For bike motors I think the Weedeater SuperBlower motor 32cc is more easily adaptable after experimenting with this Ryobi.
Above: Tear it up, take off everything to get the motor out of the blower.
Above:Motor only, this is the heart of the bicycle powerplant.
Left: Aluminum parts, Make these parts to put the motor on the bike. Two parts are missing from the photo, they haven't been machined yet.
